Everybody's gettin' campy

A fabric design I've been playing around with for a while. I love camping trips, even though I haven't ventured into the wild for ages except for in my imagination. Where I grew up in Virginia, a group of neighbors banded together every year for a camp-out on Loft Mountain, in Shenandoah National Park. Some of the most vivid memories not catalogued here are the feeling of being really dirty, fear of bear attacks, and the cold concrete of the park restrooms. Nowadays, I dream of camping out in a cool vintage trailer. Best of both worlds!

Getting a jump start on holiday cards

Last Christmas I had planned to create a line of holiday cards, but started way too late. So this year, why not start early? Here are just a couple of ideas I'm throwing into the kitty for the 2015 season. Happy Holidays?

Spineless jellyfish

On the today show the other morning, Al Roker called someone a bunch of spineless jellyfish. Can't quite recall to whom he was referring, because I was thinking of this:

Rent a goat

I hear tell that you can rent a herd of goats to mow your grass (or weeds) in some parts. What a delightful idea. This little scene comes to mind...
